Wednesday, June 15
Using his hummingbird kit as a project, David will teach you the technique he uses to create his award-winning animal portraiture art quilts. If you are afraid of hand applique, this fun and informative workshop is for you. Topics include using freezer paper templates, turning seam allowances, and an invisible stitching method.

This simple pattern will help teach you successful, nearly invisible appliqué on a domestic sewing machine. Using freezer paper templates and WonderInvisible nylon from YLI Corp, you'll be surprised how easy it is, AND your block will be finished by the end of the class. Touch that tension dial! This free-motion quilting class will provide you with the confidence necessary to control the tension issues on your stationary machine. We’ll be quilting with cotton, polyester, metallic and mylar threads on prepared quilt sandwiches.
