Using his chickadee kit as a project, learn the technique I use to create my award-winning animal portraiture art quilts. Afraid of hand applique? This fun and informative workshop is for you. Topics include using freezer paper templates, turning seam allowances, and an invisible stitching method.

Precision Machine Piecing

This is a project class for learning precision machine quilting on a home sewing machine. Topics include fabric preparation and precision cutting. Students supply their own fabrics. Classroom sponsored by JUKI. Students should be able to complete one 12-inch block during class.

Turned-Edge, Layered Hand Applique

Create an appliqu├ęd flower block. Choosing the proper fabrics makes all the difference in creating representational art. Topics includes fussy-cutting fabric, using freezer paper templates and mastering a virtually invisible applique stitch. The kit for the class includes all materials.
